This body of work has been evolving from pure flowing lines and shapes in pencils and ink to more narrative images with the incorporation of characters and explorations of concepts.

I started to create these intuitive drawings as a form of meditation and therapy to help with the suffering I was experiencing due to an autoimmune illness.

During the process, I let my perfectionism sleep and allow intuition to take control over my hand. I find myself more in the ‘flow state’ of creation rather than thinking rationally about how the final result must look. It is very liberating for a figurative artist to include this kind of technique in the creation process.

'Protector of the Forest'

In the heart of an ancient forest, where the air vibrates with a serene magic, a graceful and ethereal creature walks among the plants. Her form is neither entirely human nor entirely arboreal, but a delicate fusion of both. From her long, flowing hair sprout tender branches adorned with young leaves that tremble with every step. Her name? : Elowen.

Small rabbits emerge from the undergrowth and leap toward her without fear, as if greeting an old friend, their protector. This is a moment untouched by time, where life is eternally reborn under the watchful care of its guardian.

"Protector of the Forests" is a visual hymn to the spirit of nature, a reminder of the living soul that vibrates within every tree, every root, every small creature. It speaks of harmony, care, and the profound connection between all living beings. In her presence, one can almost hear the forest sigh with relief, whispering among its leaves: She is here. We are safe.

I’m representing the flow state, according to how it feels to me, from my experience these years in my life. That creative energy that I believe is all around us, channeling through the body in those moments of concentration, bringing inspiration, clarity and peace.
